Advantages of Selecting Yarn Dyed Fabric
- Multi-color pattern can be developed on fabric
Stripes, checks, jacquard are some patterns which can be developed using yarn dyed fabric. But these patterns are not possible on solid dyed fabric.
- Generous feel achieved
Dyed yarn is bit thick and floppy comparatively to regular yarn. So when fabric made by yarn dyed fabric will have more ‘body’ than solid dyed fabric. So wearer will feel heavier and thicker.
How to recognize a yarn dyed and piece dyed fabric?
Any fabric with stripe and check pattern will be processed using dyed yarn even though these patterns can be developed by print. However, multi-color woven designs are mostly developed on yarn dyed fabric.
On the other hand, piece dyed fabric will be in solid or single color without any pattern. Wash fastness and color fastness of yarn dyed fabrics are better than solid dyed fabrics. But price of yarn dyed fabric is higher than piece dyed fabric.
